Experimental physics department

The laboratory of wide band gap materials is a part of Experimental physics department at Odessa National I.I. Mechnikov university.  The educational and research activity of the laboratory is coordinated by the Head of Experimental physics department professor Valentin Smyntyna. The activity of the laboratory is targeted to multidisciplinary research in materials science, deposition and characterization of  wide band gap metal oxide nanostructures,  applications of these materials for sensors, biosensors and functional coatings.

Inside Odessa National I.I. Mechnikov university, we collaborate with departments of chemical physics, solid state science and microelectronics and microbiology departments.

We are also oriented to international cooperation. The group members participate in international conferences and international exchange programs.
